I made this because my tryout scoresheets were a mess.
I coach cheerleading in Richmond, VA. For years we ran tryouts on paper and pen — and the other coaches loved teasing me about how disorganized my scoresheets were. So I built a "robust" spreadsheet. It helped. But I kept dreaming of something better.
I love web development and design as a hobby, so Tryout Tracker became the perfect side project — coaching plus code. I wasn't planning to launch it publicly. Then we used it for our own tryouts and my co-coaches said, "You have to share this."
